The details
MOYO 2026
Clinical Governance and Patient Safety
Every consultation is built around clear clinical boundaries, robust screening, and a defined path to the right level of support, whether that's remote, in-person, or urgent.
01 —
Structured Clinical Screening
Every consultation includes structured history-taking and screening to identify signs or symptoms that may require urgent or in-person medical evaluation.
02 —
When remote treatment is not appropriate
Some presentations need urgent or in-person evaluation rather than remote treatment, including suspected fracture, inability to weight-bear after injury, sudden neurological changes, or signs of systemic illness. You'll be guided to the right service promptly. Full detail in our Terms & Conditions.
If you are uncertain whether your symptoms are suitable for remote treatment, a free phone consultation can be arranged to clarify the appropriate next step.
03 —
Not an Emergency Service
MOYO provides planned physiotherapy consultations by video. It is not an emergency or urgent medical service.
Do not wait for an appointment if you have:
Severe or rapidly worsening symptoms
Sudden weakness or loss of sensation
Loss of bladder or bowel control
Chest pain or difficulty breathing
Signs of stroke
Thoughts of suicide or an immediate mental health crisis
Any situation where you feel unsafe or at risk
Call 999, go to your nearest A&E, or contact NHS 111 for urgent medical advice.
If we identify a concern during a consultation that needs urgent medical attention, we will tell you straight away and direct you to the right service.
04 —
Safeguarding
If we have concerns during a consultation that an adult may be at risk of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or harm, we will act on them. That may mean talking it through with you, pointing you to support services, contacting other healthcare professionals, or making a referral to the local authority safeguarding team.
Where safety requires it, safeguarding concerns can override normal confidentiality.
If you are in immediate danger, call 999.
05 —
Professional Regulation
Treatment is delivered by HCPC-registered physiotherapists, practising within scope and UK professional standards. You can check the register at www.hcpc-uk.org/check-the-register
06 —
Insurance and Professional Cover
Every consultation is covered by professional indemnity and public liability insurance, in place for the full cross-border delivery of the service.
07 —
Maintaining Quality
Progress is tracked using structured outcome measures throughout treatment, so decisions are based on measured change, not impression alone.
08 —
A Suitable Space for Remote sessions
A quiet space with reasonable lighting and enough room to move, if the assessment calls for it, helps every consultation run smoothly. This is confirmed as part of your setup ahead of your first appointment.
09 —
Working with other professionals
Where appropriate, and always with your consent, your GP or another healthcare professional may be contacted to support your treatment or ensure continuity of information.
10 —
Ongoing professional development
Practice is maintained in line with HCPC continuing professional development requirements, ensuring clinical knowledge stays current.
11 —
